Ashley was born and raised in Hickory NC but currently resides in Statesville NC. He is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served on the USS George Washington CVN-73 aircraft carrier. Ashley graduated from the University of Gardner-Webb with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish language and culture, with a minor in religious studies. Previously, Ashley worked as a builder (framing houses), a Spanish educator, and worked for the Department of Homeland Security. He is married to the love of his life Katerine, and together they have two wonderful children, Ethan and Emelia. He enjoys spending time with his family, anything outdoors, and learning.  Ashley loves working in the roofing industry where he can see the joy in homeowners’ faces when their homes are renewed and repaired. He is passionate and fulfilled most by serving others and in his own words is “blessed upon measure.”
